Paul Tavatgis FFIA is a founder and director of The Benchmarking Project. He has nearly 30 years’ experience in the not-for-profit and fundraising sector in Australia, starting in 1996 inside a giant Amnesty International candle suit in front of 800 high school students. Paul has since worked with charities, fundraising agencies and sector organisations with a single goal – to make fundraising as effective and responsible as possible. This is continued in his work with The Benchmarking Project which is dedicated to supporting evidence based fundraising decisions for organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

Between 2002 and 2012 Paul helped build Cornucopia Consultancy into one of Australia’s leading face to face agencies, supporting Australian and New Zealand charities to inspire hundreds of thousands of new donors. In 2015, he worked with more than 60 organisations to create the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association. He is also Co-Founder, with John Burns FFIA, of the Really Good Regular Giving fundraising consultancy.
