Kamyra Laurenson is the Head of Philanthropy at The University of Western Australia, where she leads major and principal gift strategy across student access, research excellence, health, culture and community impact. With more than 20 years’ experience across advancement, marketing, philanthropy and engagement, Kamyra brings a deeply relational and strategically grounded approach to building She works closely with senior academic leaders, executives, donors and alumni to translate institutional ambition into compelling, values-led cases for support. Kamyra is particularly passionate about equity scholarships, research-driven philanthropy and creating donor experiences that are authentic, human and rooted in long-term stewardship rather than transaction.
