Listening to Your Donors: A Powerful (and easy) Fundraising Strategy
Description
Strong donor relationships are built on intentional listening. Yet too often, our interactions stop at surveys, transactions or scripted updates. This workshop explores how slowing down and listening well can shift fundraising from information gathering to genuine connection.
These practices offer simple, practical approaches to listening that build trust, clarity and shared purpose. This workshop is designed for fundraisers who want to build relationships that last, and create pathways to commitment that are based on respect, understanding and shared intent.
This class will cover:
- How to use Indigenous wisdom as a fundraising practice
- Examples of questions that encourage reflection and shared purpose
- How to translate listening into action and giving
- How to follow up and build relationships that lead to long term commitment and donations.
The session will focus on asking better questions, recognising when donors are ready to talk, and understanding what commitment sounds like.
