This session will explore the Well Foundation’s power of deliberate stewardship through a case study of a grateful patient whose first donation evolved into years of volunteering, advocacy, philanthropy and, eventually, governance.

Attendees will explore how authentic stewardship can unlock opportunities that traditional lead-generation approaches often miss, why no donor should ever be dismissed, and how donor-centred fundraising can help strengthen organisational strategy. Attendees will leave with practical ideas they can implement immediately; including a checklist to help identify overlooked opportunities within their existing database and networks, an organisation-wide stewardship model, and a simple action plan that can be taken away to help inspire what’s possible in their own organisations.
