Fundraising growth depends on active leadership, yet many boards and CEOs support fundraising in principle without taking ownership in practice. This leaves fundraising teams responsible for results without the introductions, donor engagement and organisational backing needed to succeed.
Drawing on governance, executive leadership and fundraising experience, this session examines what effective involvement from boards and CEOs looks like. Participants will learn how to clarify expectations, move boards from passive oversight to active contribution, position the CEO as an accountable fundraising leader and connect governance with strategy and execution. Practical frameworks, KPIs and conversation tools will help fundraisers identify leadership gaps, secure decisions and build shared accountability for fundraising outcomes.
