This session will focus on a 22-year-old campaign (The Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge) that is still growing year-on-year and the engagement strategies and multi-channel approach that has resulted in a 98% activation rate consistently in the last two years. This campaign is unique in its audience, the long lead-in time to the event (6-7 months) and a three-way strategic partnership. The campaign also demonstrates that it is possible to engage small communities, achieving big fundraising results. Each year the participants get more creative with interesting and often funny fundraising activities. The session will also show how the tactics used from one campaign has supported growth in a different peer-to-peer fundraising event, and how these learnings can be implemented in future campaigns.
