Ross Imbler is Advancement Services Manager at the University of Canterbury, a CFRE Ambassador, and has more than 15 years’ experience across advancement services, fundraising operations, CRM and data management, donor communications, process improvement and AI-enabled workflow design.

His work sits at the practical intersection of fundraising, data and technology: helping teams improve how they manage information, support donor engagement, reduce manual processes, strengthen reporting and make better use of the systems they already have.

Ross has delivered well-received AI, data and advancement sessions for CASE Asia-Pacific, Educate Plus, FIA Healthcare Philanthropy, aasp, Apra Australia, the New Zealand University Blackbaud User Group and other advancement and fundraising audiences. His recent presentations and masterclasses have focused on practical AI adoption, responsible workflow design, prompt and context engineering, RAG-enabled documentation, prospect research, privacy-aware practice and human-in-the-loop review.
