Bio
Irshad Osman brings a rare combination to Canada's philanthropic landscape: the spiritual formation of an Imam and the strategic acumen of a seasoned fundraising professional. With a track record of overseeing multi-million dollar development portfolios in support of local and international causes, Irshad understands what it takes to move donors from interest to investment.

As a BIPOC development professional with experience across three continents, Irshad offers the sector something it urgently needs: a deeply inclusive, faith-based lens on giving, belonging, and community-building. His approach challenges the sector to think more expansively about who gives, who leads, and who benefits.

Irshad is a proud alumnus of AFP's inaugural Fellowship in Inclusion and Philanthropy, Interfaith America's Interfaith Innovation Fellowship, and the KAICIID International Fellowship, a reflection of his commitment to principled, equity-centred philanthropy. He is also the founder of award-winning Muslim-Indigenous Connection (MIC) youth intercultural leadership program.
