Healthcare philanthropy operates within a complex and highly specialised environment. While many of its principles are shared across the wider fundraising profession, the relationships, organisational structures and experiences that shape healthcare fundraising present distinct considerations.
Presented in person at FIA Conference for the first time, this interactive workshop will examine healthcare philanthropy through the perspectives of hospitals, medical research and community health.
Through expert panel discussions and facilitated group conversations, participants will explore how philanthropy is experienced across different healthcare settings and consider what these environments have in common, where they differ and what fundraisers can learn from each other.
The workshop will examine:
- Approaches to engaging philanthropic communities
- Building a culture of philanthropy across an organisation
- Gratitude, referrals and grateful patient fundraising
- Engaging organisational leaders and frontline professionals
- Fundraising programs that work effectively in healthcare settings
- Emerging challenges and opportunities for healthcare philanthropy
Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with peers, consider new approaches and identify practical insights to apply within their own organisations.
This is a separately ticketed workshop. Registration can be purchased independently or added to an FIA Conference 2027 registration. Places are limited.
